What can the hall be used for?
You can rent the hall for baby showers, wedding showers, wedding receptions, buck and doe’s, birthday parties, sporting events, music events and fundraisers.
Where is the hall located?
The main door to the hall is on East Ave. corner of Murray Street.
Is the hall certified for public events?
We have all required certificates that allow us to rent the hall for public events. All current certificates are displayed in the hall
What are the rental fees?
We rent the hall for small and big events. The hall can be rented by the hour or for the night. Regular parishioners will receive a discount. For more details please submit the reservation form or call the office 519-753-7316
What is the deposit and when it is PAID AND refunded?
It depends on the category of your event. It is paid on the day you sign the contract and it refunded after your event when the hall is inspected by us
Do I need Insurance?
On what days is the hall available for rent?
The hall can be rented on most days of the week. We don’t rent the hall on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and during the Holy Week
What is the procedure to book the hall?
Please use the reservation form from our website. We will contact you to confirm the date and time of your event
Is the hall accessible for persons with disability?
There is a stair lift installed in the hall however we are looking at upgrading it as it doesn’t always work properly. Until we update the lift there is no guarantee that the lift will be in operation
How many guests the hall can accommodate?
In respect to the fire department ruling we can accept 250-300 people comfortably.
Is there air-conditioning?
There is no air-conditioning but we have ceiling fans
Are there any tables and chairs?
Yes, there are enough tables and chairs for 300 people
Is there PA system and multimedia?
We don’t have P/A system or multimedia installed in the hall.
Is the stage accessible?
Yes, you can use the stage.
Can we use the kitchen and how its is equipped?
There is a stainless steal fridge with bottom freezer (residential size), a large beer fridge and a gas stove with an oven. Please let us know if you plan on using these items.
Is the hall supervised?
Yes, the hall is supervised by a coordinator. The coordinator may visit the hall during your event. Your information will be given to the coordinator after signing the contract for them to contact you and arrange a tour.
Can we serve alcohol at our event?
Yes, you can serve alcohol but you need to purchase the licence. We will be happy to provide more information. Alcohol can be served only within the building not outside. No smoking is allowed in the building.
What is the night noise city by-law?
We abide by the Brantford City By-laws. Noise control 21:00 – 07:00. Please respect our neighbours.
SETTING UP THE HALL
When can I get the key to the hall and decorate?
The hall coordinator will arrange for you to pick up the keys. You are allowed to use the hall only within the time frame of your insurance. This includes time for hall setting up and cleaning.
When must we take down the decorations?
The hall has to be cleaned up at the end of your event. It is also determined by the insurance coverage.
Do I need to clean up the hall?
We ask you to leave the hall in the same condition as it was before your event.
Where can we dump garbage?
We ask that you use the provided garbage bags. The Recyclable items have to be packed separately and stored in a designate place. The cooked oil has to be disposed in a separate container. The garbage is to be put into a marked and locked container outside. You will be given the key.
When DO I need to return the key?
We ask you to return the key to our office on the first working day, please see the office hours. Other arrangements are possible upon request.
Are there any additional fees for using certain facilities?
We may charge extra fee for using tableware stored in the kitchen, please ask upon touring the hall.
